Moi's Story

For Moises Navarro, aka "Moi", growing up, music was never too far from home and a guitar was always within reach. Both of his parents were singers and songwriters in the early 70's. Moi is an independent artist, in music for eight years, based in Riverside, California and has since gained a prominent regional, statewide and nationwide fan base. His diversity is more than just skin-deep. The music is interwoven with influences of funk, rock, soul, folk, jazz and traditional Latin rhythms. Moi's ballads are very emotional, they tell a story and invoke tremendous feeling, portraying sincere transparency, letting you see into the artist's soul. Music, to Moi, is best described as a marriage. Marrying a set of lyrics with an intense, unique, beautiful melody, is the key to a good song.

Moi easily reaches a wide variety of people with his passionate music, straight-forward lyrics, and unique harmonies. The purpose and direction of his music, is to connect with as many people as he can through words and melodies, and have it be just as meaningful to them, as it is to him. Being able to communicate with others on how he feels inside through his music, comes to him as second nature. It just flows.

An up-and-coming voice in indie rock music, Moi has earned a massive grassroots following through hard work, determination, and constant touring throughout the past eight years. Through his journey, with countless hours of practice, "you fall, you get up, you fall, you get up", Moi continues to grow, and is blessed that through every stage, people have been touched and encouraged by his music.

In January 2008, Moi signed a publishing deal with Wake Music Group and Grammy Award winning Producer Ric Wake, one of the music industry's top producers in the world. Recorded in New York, Moi's newest online release, NYC SESSIONS is available in all online stores; itunes, amazon.com, Rhapsody, Napster, eMusic, GroupieTunes, Amazon MP3, Lala, Shock hound, Amie Street - containing seven new original compositions including favorites like: "Superman", "I'm Sorry" and "Listen to Love". Moi continues to make waves in the music scene playing about 165 shows a year on average.
